Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant at our facility in Awka, Anambra State.
  • The Accountant will be responsible for all financial related tasks to ensure efficiency in our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze company expenses to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of receipts and invoices of all company expenses and other financial records.
  • Prepare expense reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse team for necessary records and information confirmation.
  • Manage financial aspects of procurement, including purchase orders, vendor payments, and cost tracking.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions and update the accounting system accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Establish systems to track and reconcile daily transactions and financial reports including balances, payments, and statements.
  • Work with management to actively monitor and understand budget variances.
  • Maintain a thorough internal audit trail.
  • Coordinate with external audit to ensure that audits are completed on time and according to standards set by regulatory agencies.
  • Handle continuous financial administration.
  • Compile and present quarterly and annual financial statements, budgets and cash flow forecasts.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years experience in accounting or related roles.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
  • Proficiency in and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills, and high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN, CB, CPA or other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
