Our client, a leading real estate company, is seeking a skilled Site Accountant to oversee financial activities at project sites, ensure accurate record-keeping, and maintain compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing site expenses, processing payments, tracking budgets, and preparing financial reports to support effective project execution.

Scope:

Site Financial Management & Reporting

• Monitor and control project-related expenses, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
• Prepare financial reports and reconciliations for site operations, highlighting key insights.
• Assist in project budgeting and cost forecasting to support financial planning.

Accounting Operations

• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of site expenditures and transactions.
• Process payments to suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring timely disbursements.
• Reconcile petty cash, purchase orders, and invoices to maintain financial accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Transaction Processing & Compliance

• Verify and record financial transactions, including payroll processing for site staff.
• Ensure proper documentation and approval of site-related financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records and reports.

Month-End & Quarterly Closings

• Assist in month-end and quarterly financial reporting processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports to the head office.

Key Requirements

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate or construction sector.
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and project accounting principles.
