Job Summary:

• We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Finance Department in Oraifite, Anambra State.
• You’ll be responsible for managing all financial data, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
• This is a crucial role that requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate periodic and year-end financial statements.
• Analyze financial data and provide insightful reports.
• Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget implementation and perform variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial procedures.
• Consolidate accounting entries and accounts for financial reporting.
• Prepare internal reports to support management decisions.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and recommend policy improvements.
• Establish and maintain a robust tax reporting system.
• -Develop strategies to minimize financial risks.
• Analyze market trends and provide recommendations.
• Perform controllership duties and ensure balance sheet integrity.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues related to HMIS (if applicable).
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, or other relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of broad experience in finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of IFRS and Nigerian GAAP.
