🔔 HIRING: Accountant (Ecommerce) – Remote at Jerritons Legal – NG

Summary

Our client is an Ecommerce company operating in Lagos and seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their team. While this role is remote, we desire that the candidate is based in Lagos. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements, and supporting the company’s financial operations with accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing.
• Perform month-end and year-end financial closing procedures.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with tax laws and statutory filings (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT).
• Assist with budget preparation, cost control, and financial forecasting.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support management decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in an accounting or finance role in a tech company. 
• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a high level of integrity.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
