Requirements

• B.Sc / Master’s Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science or any other directly related field. A minimum of 6 years post qualification experience as a Field Agronomist with working experience in commercial cereal (paddy, maize. Soybeans Groundnut) production
• Must be willing to Relocate
• Proficiency with computers, Awareness of industry trends, technology and developments, exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills is important.

Job Competency Requirements:

• Ability to conduct research along the production value chain, study plants and soil and develop better cultivation; planting and harvesting techniques to yield increase in production.
• Ability to improve crop yield, quality of seed and nutritional values of crops; and solve problems of the farm.
• Ability to research, develop, and promote farming practices or products that diminish the effects of changes in soil, climate, and weather or prevent damage from pests.
• Visiting fields to collect seed, plant, and soil samples and testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes.
• Assisting with the plant selection process and the development of planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
• Keeping detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples and generating reports and presenting findings to management.
• Ability to provide management and technical consultancy services.
• Any other assigned duties or responsibilities related to the farm’s operation.
