Job Summary

  • As an Application Support Specialist, you’ll provide technical support to both internal teams and external clients, manage ticketing systems, maintain system documentation, and ensure smooth operations across software applications.
  • You’ll be an integral part of a collaborative support team, helping to resolve issues, implement fixes, and contribute to the stability and improvement of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for internal teams and external clients.
  • Perform application deployment and upgrades, system patching, and integration of software solutions.
  • Investigate reported issues by analyzing log files, system configurations, and other relevant data, and employ problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Manage a ticketed query system and maintain a comprehensive database of issues and resolutions.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, support procedures, deployment configurations and system updates.
  • Deliver technical training sessions to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the development team to perform software testing, including functional testing and regression testing, to ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Must have completed the NYSC program.
  • Must not be older than 30 years as of their last birthday.

Other Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of system administration.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, .NET framework, and APIs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective issue reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities effectively.
  • Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is an advantage.
