We are looking for a skilled backend/VoIP developer to lead the development of our call infrastructure. The role will focus on researching, integrating, and managing multiple voice provider APIs to ensure global coverage and reliable call delivery.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing the Alerts call engine, including call routing, failover switching, and performance optimization, so that traders across all regions can receive instant alerts without interruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, and integrate APIs from multiple voice/telephony providers
- Build and maintain the core call engine responsible for triggering and routing calls
- Implement intelligent call switching and failover logic to maximize delivery success rates
- Ensure system scalability to support thousands of concurrent calls worldwide
- Monitor performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize
- Collaborate with the team to align technical solutions with product goals
Requirements
- Strong experience with backend development (Node.js or Python)
- Hands-on experience working with telephony/VoIP APIs (Twilio, Plivo, Vonage, Telnyx, etc.)
- Solid understanding of SIP, WebRTC, or related communication protocols is a plus
- Proven ability to build scalable and reliable backend systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to performance, latency, and fault tolerance
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex integrations
Nice to Have:
- Prior work with real-time communication products
- Experience designing high-availability systems with multi-region support
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
