GitHub is looking for a communications expert to join the Corporate Communications team to lead Policy and Issues Management. This person will support a wide range of existing communications activities—across corporate and product storytelling—and also have the opportunity to build and manage dedicated programs.The right person for this role thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys that every day is different. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with communications leaders on strategy around key policy initiatives and issues management activities
  • Collaborate on issues management workflows and lead on external reactive and proactive communications development
  • Proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve issues quickly and efficiently to ensure positive brand positioning
  • Assist in a variety of complex and technical topics, including security, engineering, and company communications as needed

An individual’s base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role.
