🔔 HIRING: Enterprise Architect at Layer3 – NG

About the Role

• The Enterprise Architect will work directly with the CEO, overseeing special projects and ensuring that the company’s technology architecture aligns with strategic business objectives.
• This role is instrumental in guiding the technical direction of Layer3 and ensuring that both short- and long-term goals are met through optimal use of technology.
• The Enterprise Architect will provide leadership in designing and implementing enterprise-wide technology strategies, focusing on innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency across all business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the CEO to understand business objectives and ensure that Layer3’s enterprise architecture supports the company’s vision, mission, and growth goals.
• Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture roadmap that supports Layer3’s business strategy, including cloud services, managed network services, and access service offerings.
• Lead special projects directly under the CEO’s portfolio, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and with optimal resource allocation.
• Identify new technology trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend solutions that could enhance Layer3’s product offerings or operational capabilities.
• Collaborate with department heads in engineering, sales, strategy, operations, and other units to ensure that technology initiatives are fully integrated across all business functions.
• Develop and enforce architectural best practices, policies, and governance structures to ensure consistent and scalable technology solutions while mitigating risks.
• Focus on delivering solutions that provide maximum value to customers while enhancing security, availability, and performance across Layer3’s services.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including the Board, customers, and business partners, ensuring alignment and understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, including leadership roles in designing and implementing technology systems.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing, networking, security, and emerging technologies.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional technology projects with executive-level visibility.
• Exceptional ability to translate business goals into effective technology strategies and solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in technology industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with the local Nigerian tech landscape, including regulatory frameworks and market conditions.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, Project Management, Scrum Master, Business Analysis, Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
