🔔 HIRING: Experienced Network Engineer at Lohi Consulting – NG

• The Network Engineer designs, implement, maintain, and support the growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other members of the team in managing the exchange point network;
• Administer personal computers, network devices, and servers.
• Develop, maintain, and implement operating procedures that optimize network performance and availability.
• Manage software installation and ensure applications (monitoring and operating) are updated as and when due.
• Plan, implement and manage network security solutions including firewalls as well as other security systems.
• Manage network incidents and document resolutions for future reference.
• Formulation of procedures and work instructions related to network and service integration
• Design and facilitate content for the IXPN academy curriculum
• Carrying out any other duty as assigned by superiorRequirements
• A university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or any other ICT-related discipline.
• Relative experience in a similar capacity.
• Work experience in an ISP will be an added advantage
• Relevant qualification/certification e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCP, RHCSA
• Good knowledge of computer operating systems including Windows and UNIX.
• Sound knowledge of computer networks and TCP/IP protocol suite.
• Ability to install computer network systems, and applications.
• Competence in Cisco Command Line Interface for managing network devices.
• Ability to troubleshoot computer systems and network issues.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Creative, innovative, and willing to contribute ideas and professional opinion.
• A good team player.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
