Job Summary

• Frontend Developer with expertise in WordPress, HTML/CSS, React, and CMS management to create and maintain brand-aligned functional websites.
• The role will encompass front-end development, including WordPress theme implementation, WordPress plugin development and integration, and ensuring security through regular updates. 
• The Webmaster ensure websites are secure, high-performing, SEO-optimized, and user-friendly while acting as the go-to webmaster.

Main Responsibilities

• Build responsive WordPress websites that reflect brand identity and essence.
• Code custom websites/plugins using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and PHP.
• Develop landing pages and forms for lead generation.
• Optimize website speed, usability, and cross-device performance.
• Monitor uptime, fix bugs, and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement SEO best practices (metadata, alt tags, sitemaps).
• Use Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager to track traffic and performance.
• Ensure GDPR/accessibility compliance.
• Perform backups and malware scans.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2 years of demonstrable experience as a WordPress developer.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes and plugins.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP for WordPress development and other languages.
• Experience with responsive web design and mobile-friendly website development.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and visually appealing websites.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for website optimisation.
• Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and,
• A portfolio showcasing responsive, brand-focused websites.
