Job Summary:
- The HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- The ideal candidate will ensure optimal indoor air quality and climate control, following company protocols and safety guidelines.
- This role requires a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heaters, andÂ
- Â ventilation systems.
- Ensure systems operate efficiently and meet regulatory standards.
- Clean and replace filters, check refrigerant levels, and calibrate systems.
- Diagnose system malfunctions and provide solutions.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Test system performance using various testing equipment.
- Communicate with clients about system issues, service schedules, and recommended upgrades.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
- Explain repairs and operational issues to customers in simple terms.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and client communications.
- Comply with local HVAC codes, building standards, and safety regulations.
- Handle refrigerants per EPA regulations and ensure environmental safety.
- Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks of accidents and injuries.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and handle tools responsibly.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
- OND, SSCE Test trade, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience.
- Technical certification in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role.
- EPA certification (Type I & II or Universal) preferred; other state-specific HVAC licensing as required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and best practices.
- Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
