Minimum of a master’s degree in Hausa, liberal arts or social sciences.
Minimum of 10 years experience working in the Hausa service section of newspaper, magazine, radio or TV, or the Hausa department of a higher institution.
At least five samples of documents translated from English to Hausa
Experience in editing articles, books/publications in Hausa
Proof reading experience in Hausa that is clearly error-free.
Attention to detail and outstanding command of writing Hausa tor low-literate publics.

Job Description
Translate short story pieces into Hausa for publication in news publications
Translate and proof read project news bulletins into Hausa for public use.
Ensure that project news bulletins translated into Hausa meet the highest standards of quality and consistency in Hausa writing.
