Job Description
- The Mobile Phone Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of smartphones and tablets.
- The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, replacing faulty parts, and ensuring that all devices are restored to full functionality in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repairs:
- Inspect and diagnose mobile phones to identify faults (hardware or software-related).
- Repair or replace defective components such as screens, batteries, charging ports, speakers, and cameras.
- Reinstall and update operating systems or firmware as required.
- Test devices post-repair to ensure full functionality before returning to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
Customer Service:
- Attend to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.
- Offer technical advice to customers on device care, maintenance, and usage.
- Ensure timely delivery of repaired devices to enhance customer satisfaction.
Inventory & Equipment Management:
- Keep an organized record of spare parts, tools, and materials.
- Report low stock levels and assist in sourcing quality replacement parts.
- Maintain and ensure proper handling of tools and repair equipment.
Quality Assurance & Safety:
- Ensure all repairs meet company and industry standards.
- Follow safety protocols when handling electrical components and devices.
- Dispose of electronic waste responsibly and in line with environmental regulations.
Teamwork & Reporting:
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and management teams to streamline operations.
- Provide daily reports on repairs completed, pending tasks, and parts used.
- Support training and mentorship of new technicians when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND / Technical Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 1โ3 years of experience as a Mobile Phone or Electronics Repair Technician.
- Strong troubleshooting and soldering skills.
