Position Overview
- The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our multispecialty clinic, ensuring seamless coordination between clinical, administrative, and support teams. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills to optimize processes, manage resources, and drive patient satisfaction. You will play a pivotal role in scaling operations while maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Manage daily department operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and facility maintenance.
- Implement systems to reduce wait times, improve appointment adherence, and enhance service delivery.
- Track KPIs (revenue, patient retention, inventory turnover) and refine strategies for growth.
Team Development
- Lead and mentor 25+ staff members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations for administrative and clinical support teams.
Financial Management
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.
- Analyze profit/loss statements and identify opportunities to boost revenue and reduce waste.
- Negotiate cost-effective vendor contracts for dental supplies and equipment.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure strict adherence to Nigerian dental regulations, OSHA standards, and infection control protocols.
- Conduct regular audits and staff training on HIPAA, safety procedures, and emergency preparedness.
Patient Experience
- Champion patient-centric practices to ensure high satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address patient complaints promptly and implement feedback-driven improvements.
Strategic Growth
- Support the launch of new specialties, technologies, or clinic expansions.
- Drive adoption of digital tools (e.g., EHR systems, tele-dentistry platforms).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years in dental/healthcare operations, including multispecialty practice management.
Skills:
- Proven leadership in cross-functional team management.
- Proficiency in dental practice software (e.g., Doctosmart, Dentrix, OpenDental).
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Nigerian healthcare regulations and global best practices.
- Certifications: HIPAA, or PMP certification (a plus).
