The position supports a new program, the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) which consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.The Power Platform Developer will support the NASA Enterprise Automation Service (NEAS) Office. The team is seeking a motivated individual with a diverse background as a developer with experience developing and implementing enterprise applications in the Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint environments to include:- Power Apps: Building canvas and model-driven apps.
- Power Automate: Creating automated workflows.
- Power BI: Developing reports and dashboards.
- Microsoft Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service).
- Microsoft Office 365 suite for integration purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop custom applications, workflows, and integrations utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to drive business applications and data-driven insights.
- Design, develop, and implement complex solutions using SharePoint and Power Platform technologies, including custom applications, workflows, and integrations.
- Utilize Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to create effective business applications and provide data-driven insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SharePoint and Power Platform environments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical solutions that address their requirements.
- Stay up to date with the latest updates, features, and best practices in SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Developer or Software Engineer with a focus on Microsoft enterprise application technologies (SharePoint, Power Platform).
- 1 to 3 years of experience specifically with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex solutions using SharePoint and Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, development, and customization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance best practices for SharePoint and Power Platform.
- Experience in conducting workshops, training sessions, and user adoption initiatives.
- Must be willing and able to obtain a NASA Public Trust Clearance (US Citizenship required).
