1.      Project Background

1.1.    Rationale for the Project

Action Against Hunger is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 1979 in Paris – France. Our 6.000+ field staffs work in over 40 countries to carry out innovative programmes in nutrition, food security, water & sanitation and health. In close and direct collaboration with the National Planning Commission, the Federal Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Water Resources and the relevant State and LGA bodies. Action Against Hunger is developing programs and activities aimed at fighting hunger through the improvement of food security, children and pregnant & lactating women nutritional status and access to water.

1.2   Geographical scope covered by the project

The geographical scope of the project will be Borno state – Monguno.

2.     PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

2.1.    Objectives of the project

Specific objectives:

The specific Objective of the project to provide

Internet service and infrastructure for about 150+ users.

3.      Profile of the organization/company

The project will be require the following profile:

• Proven experience and capacity in the provision of internet infrastructure in the North East
• Proven evidence experience in providing similar project in the North East with other International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO).
• Ability to provide technical team on ground in Borno State
• Ability to provide VSAT Equipment with Ku-Band and/or C-Band
• Strong personal discipline and capacity to respect deadlines, even if under pressure.
• The ability to present detailed technical report, adaptable, flexible and able to improvise and work in an environment that is often stressful and potentially volatile.
• Willingness to travel in difficult circumstances.
