This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing existing systems, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational needs. The role requires independent judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions in a mission-driven nonprofit environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform custom development and configuration to meet evolving business requirements.
- Conduct system analysis, solution design, and documentation of technical specifications.
- Manage the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of multi-server platforms.
- Administer database environments, including SQL Server 2016+, security, and performance tuning.
- Ensure compliance with change control, incident management, and security protocols.
- Perform thorough testing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including unit testing, regression testing, and UAT.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
- Collaborate with business users to assess requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and business processes.
- Support organizational strategy by delivering reliable and efficient technology solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in web and Microsoft development technologies.
- Proficiency in:
- C#, .NET, ASP.NET, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, and related technologies.
- SQL Server 2016+ (administration, programmability, and reporting).
- IIS web hosting and Windows Server environments.
- Experience with application support, troubleshooting, and database administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio 2015+ or later.
- Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
