Primary job functions include support of data analytics and some software development for the listed systems. Must have the ability to function well in a team environment and/or work independently to achieve project goals.   • Support Medicaid Pharmacy Point of Sale (POS), Data Warehouse, Member Organized Delivery System (ODS) and Medicaid Management Inforamtion Systems (MMIS) mainframe systems.
  • Support of data analytics and some software development for the listed systems.
  • Function well in a team environment and/or work independently to achieve project goals.
  • Multi-task and adapt to changing initiatives is also a key component to the position.
  • Participate in data analysis activities
  • Code, test and document projects according to the specifications provided.
  • Participate in and conduct peer reviews as needed.
  • Participate in creating unit and other test plans for assigned programming tasks.
  • Provide moderately complex to complex technical and production support to end-users.
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Review and analyze writing program specifications.
  • Review design of new programs of routine complexity and for basic enhancements to existing programs.
  • Recommend changes to client software based on information such as client feedback, language changes and new technology.

What we’re looking for


  • 6+ years of applications development and support, and programming in an mainframe environment using COBOL, JCL, IDCAMS, Expeditor and TSO/ISPF
  • 3+ years of UNIX scripting and VI/VIM editor
  • 5+ years of ad-hoc SQL to query databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
  • SQL Server Business Intelligence (BI): SSIS, SSRS, Stored Procedures and Job Scheduling
  • Version control software
  • All phases of the SDLC, Software Development Life Cycle
  • Healthcare and Medicaid systems experience is a preferred but not required
