  • This role involves working closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to develop cost-effective and durable structural solutions that comply with regulatory standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structural Design & Analysis: Develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural designs using engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Project Assessment: Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and site investigations to determine project requirements.
  • Material Selection: Recommend appropriate construction materials and structural components based on durability, load requirements, and cost efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local and international building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Construction Supervision: Provide technical oversight during construction to ensure structural integrity and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Structural Calculations: Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and simulations to predict structural performance.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Identify structural issues, propose modifications, and provide engineering solutions as needed.
  • Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct site inspections to monitor project progress, address construction challenges, and verify compliance with design requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (if required by jurisdiction).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit.
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and geotechnical engineering.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, BS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
