Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Technical Adviser to the CEO to support the organization’s executive leadership in making informed decisions related to technology, innovation, and digital transformation. 
  • This individual will act as a trusted partner to the CEO, providing insight on emerging technologies, product strategy, and operational optimization from a technical perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advising: Provide the CEO with expert advice on best practices for addressing complex business and technical situations, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Implementation Planning: Evaluate risks and assess requirements for various implementation strategies, providing actionable insights on optimal tactics for execution across technical initiatives.
  • Problem Solving and Solution Development: Troubleshoot complex technical and business challenges, quickly identifying root causes and designing viable, cost-effective solutions to resolve issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document findings, technical assessments, and proposed solutions in comprehensive reports, ensuring transparency and clarity for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Client Collaboration: Work with a diverse range of clients, including external partners, financial institutions, and internal teams, to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP, CISM, or other finance-related certifications) are a plus.
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in a senior technical advisory or leadership role within the finance or fintech industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing technology transformations in a financial services environment.
  • Strong background in IT governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and financial systems.
  • Experience working with senior executives and understanding business strategy, financial planning, and performance metrics.
  • Comfortable with figures and report writing.
  • Adequate knowledge in research and methodology
  • Exposure to Project Management and it’s techniques.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Ability to assess risks associated with a decision.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Values integrity.
  • Ability to work well in a strategic team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to unique and changing circumstances.
  • Good knowledge of safety and quality standards related to material storage and handling.
