Description

  • A Teemer Man in the steel industry plays a crucial role in managing ladle flow, controlling casting parameters, and ensuring defect-free billet production. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teeming and Casting: Manage the flow of molten metal into molds to produce high-quality steel billets.
  • Ladle Flow Control: Regulate the flow of molten metal to prevent defects and ensure smooth casting.
  • Casting Parameter Control: Monitor and adjust casting parameters to optimize production and quality.
  • Defect Prevention: Identify and prevent defects in billet production to minimize waste and ensure quality output.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Steel manufacturing facilities, such as African Foundries Limited.
  • Potential exposure to high temperatures, molten metal, and industrial equipment.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE, OND, NCE, or HND qualification with 4 years experience.
  • Experience in steel production or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Physical stamina to work in a manufacturing setting.
