- A Teemer Man in the steel industry plays a crucial role in managing ladle flow, controlling casting parameters, and ensuring defect-free billet production.
Key Responsibilities
- Teeming and Casting: Manage the flow of molten metal into molds to produce high-quality steel billets.
- Ladle Flow Control: Regulate the flow of molten metal to prevent defects and ensure smooth casting.
- Casting Parameter Control: Monitor and adjust casting parameters to optimize production and quality.
- Defect Prevention: Identify and prevent defects in billet production to minimize waste and ensure quality output.
Other Responsibilities:
- Steel manufacturing facilities, such as African Foundries Limited.
- Potential exposure to high temperatures, molten metal, and industrial equipment.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an SSCE, OND, NCE, or HND qualification with 4 years experience.
- Experience in steel production or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Physical stamina to work in a manufacturing setting.
